Luca was volunteering at Spark Community Space in 2023 when it hit him. The place was buzzing, people playing board games, chatting over tea, properly connecting. It felt good to be there. But he'd nearly walked past it a hundred times without knowing what it was. And when he mentioned it to other students, none of them had heard of it either.
That felt wrong. Not just for Spark, but for all the cafes, restaurants, charities, and community groups doing brilliant things that students just... didn't know about. At the same time, students like him and Frankie were constantly looking better spots around the city.
So we started LocalLinked. A simple way to help people find the local places that actually matter, the ones where you might end up volunteering, or becoming a regular, or just feeling a bit more at home.
We're not trying to reinvent community. We just want to make it easier to find.
